  • System Requirements

  • PC Requirements

In order to run this prototype, a minimum of specifications must be met in regards to the computer ran on. The computer must at least have a Pentium 166 MHz processor with at least 32 MB of RAM. For maximum perfomance, a Pentium 300 MHz processor or higher with 128 MB of RAM.

The Algorithm runs and completes 168 people in 80 seconds on a PII-266. Faster processors will yield a faster result, as it only takes 19 seconds on a 1GHz laptop.

Also, in order to view the reports, some type of printer needs to be installed on the system.

  • Software Requirements

This Prototype was designed to run using Microsoft Access 97. This version of software was included in Microsoft Office 97 Professional. The operating system of the system must be at least Windows 95. A newer version of Access or Windows is acceptable.

If the prototype is run under a newer version of Access, it will take longer to run. The prototype is then running in an "interpreted mode", but it still runs in 30 seconds on a PIII-933 computer. There is a small delay, but the time it takes to run is more than adequate for anyone's needs.

If a newer version of Access is used, when the prototype is run, Access will need to convert the file. Let Access convert the file and it should work just fine.
