Joe previously taught in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UMKC as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Adjunct Lecturer (Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Elementary Statistics), as a Teaching Assistant at Missouri Western State College, and recently as a substitute teacher in the North Kansas City School District. Since 1984 he has worked in the IT industry in application software development such as travel and wireless communications, spending over 12 years in project and resource management roles. He last worked as a senior Statistician at H&R Block in Kansas City, MO. In January 2003, Joe (as Vice President) joined his wife (President) in their local home-based mathematics tutoring company called MathHead Tutoring, for students of all levels from Algebra to Calculus.
