Karen Burec, Galaxy Girls Director   Karen is enjoying her 5th season as a Galaxy Girl.  She is a graduate of Missouri Western University where she received her B.S.B.A. with a major in Marketing.  Currently working at John Knox Village, she handles the marketing and advertising for the community.  She also enjoys coaching gymnastics and cheerleading.  Karen maintains an active lifestyle and travels to the mountains whenever possible where she enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking and white water rafting.  Her life motto is: "Carpe Diem".

Amy Amy is a KU graduate with a degree in Communication Studies and an emphasis in photography.  This talented photographer is currently working at the JGladman Gallery in Lawrence, KS and has high hopes of owning her own studio within the next year.  Amy believes that if you want something bad enough and work hard for it, you can make anything happened.  This fun-loving Galaxy Girl has a blast performing in front of the great fans at Kemper Arena and prides herself with being a kid at heart.

  

Rebecca

Sara Sara is a loving mother of two wonderful children, Max and Giana.  She lives an exciting and fast paced life, owning and operating a daycare, dancing for the Galaxy Girls, and taking care of her family.  Sara is a bright and spirited performer and brings many smiles and laughs to the group.  Sara believes that strength, faith, and determination will take a person far in life and exemplifies that with her driven attitude.  She appreciates all of amazing lifelong friends she has make on this team and hopes to continue performing for many years to come.

Kaitlin

Michelle Michelle is a graduate of the University of Kansas where she earned her Bachelors in Exercise Science.  This bright and motivated ball of energy refuses to take a break as she juggles 3 jobs.  Michelle is a sales representative for Varsity Cheer and Dance and provides the Galaxy Girls with all of their great outfits.  She is also an aerobics instructor at Prairie Life Center, a Galaxy Girls Choreographer, and the proud owner of her dog Shilo, an adorable Shiba Inu.  Michelle's outgoing and cheery personality brings lots of smiles to team and she is a trusted and close friend to all of the girls.

Lindsey Lindsey is a senior at Park University majoring in Business and Finance.  She studies and works hard in hopes of one day becoming a successful financial consultant.  This fun-loving Galaxy Girl enjoys performing in front of the great fans at Kemper Arena and really values the wonderful friendships she has developed with the girls on this team.  Lindsey strives to always lead a joyful life  with God as her center.  Her favorite quote is: "Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God's grace and your best days are never so good the you are beyond the need of God's grace."

Shannon Shannon possesses Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Organizational Communications from William Jewell College and will soon be working toward her Masters in Public Policy.  She has achieved almost everything that she strived for: coaching a high school cheer squad and dancing for two professional dance teams in Kansas City.  Shannon has also started a fabulous career for herself as the Director of Member Services at a local Country Club.  This ambitious dancer is a first year Galaxy Girl and is thrilled to have made so many wonderful friendships on this team.

                                                       

Dina Shkolnik, Webmaster Dina is a three year veteran of the Galaxy Girls and currently helps out with the teams choreography and website.  She is a graduate of UMKC and is now actively pursuing her MBA degree in hopes of a career in advertising.  Dina shares a strong passion for dancing and loves to do just about anything outdoors.  Although career motivated, Dina's ultimate goal is to travel the world,  including her hometown of Chernovtsy, Ukraine.
