Southwest Early College Campus (Southwest)
6512 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO, 64113

Southwest Early College Campus was an open enrollment, mathematics and science focused school originally planned for students in grades 7-12 in the Kansas City Missouri School District, begun in Fall 2008. The goal was to give Kansas City students an early immersion college readiness experience in order to prepare them to successfully complete a four-year college degree and pursue careers in mathematics, engineering, technology, and science (STEM).

Southwest was formed as a partnership between the Kansas CIty Missouri School District and UMKC, Kansas City's Partnership for Regional Educational Preparation (PREP-KC), the Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute (KCALSI), the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation (WWF), and Donnelly College (Donnelly).
