    Bio excerpts: John T. Sieben holds the rank of professor in the department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and is a former Dean of Arts and Sciences at TLU. He has earned a master of science degree from University of Missouri at Kansas City in mathematics, a second master of science from Texas State University in computer science, and a doctorate (Ph.D.) in mathematics from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Dr. Sieben teaches in the areas of data modeling, applied calculus, differential equations, introductory and mathematical statistics. He is a Fellow of the Texas Academy of Science and has served as Chair of that organization. He is also a member of the Mathematical Association of America and has chaired the Texas State Section of that organization...His most recent research interests are regression theory, and math pedagogy, especially the content of a flipped classroom. Dr. Sieben is a SCUBA instructor. He teaches introductory courses, Nitrox, Underwater Photography, and Rescue. He is interested in photography above and below the water and enjoys cycling.
