Chris joins our mathematics team as a Teach for America Corps member, for which he previously taught summer school to low-income students in the Los Angeles school district. In 2011, Chris completed the Environmental Professional Intern Examination of the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice. His Honors Thesis Research Project in 2010 was a successful grant proposal to research the cause of turbid conditions, limiting the biological integrity of a major watershed in Northwest Arkansas. In the summer of 2009, he was an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Arkansas, studying herbicide weed resistance.

During the summer of 2010, Chris studied Agriculture at two higher education institutes in Sao Paolo, and Londrina, Brazil for 10 weeks, funded by the FIPSE International program for research and culture exchange.
